Part 1 Reading Comprehension: All readings (and MC questions) will be completed outside of class. We will go over the answers and the types of questions in class. ***EVERY practice assignment should be treated as a real test! It is the only way to get an accurate read on how well you will do in June!***

2. NOW comes the real work. Open the files below and read the sample essays. Pay close attention to the style of writing: intro, transitions, conclusion, etc. THEN compare your (albeit brief) response, to the scored samples.
THE BEST way to improve your writing is to model the strengths you see in others' writing.

NOW: Print or copy SEVERAL strengths/noteworthy statements or phrases. You can use the snipping tool (under accessories) to crop and copy/paste or you can type them out on a word document.
